Development Update #4

NetWorkIt

It’s been a while since our last update. Our latest update comes with the announcement that we are almost ready for beta testing! In the next few weeks we’ll be sending out links to our signed up members of our newsletter that will allow them to claim their free account. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the messaging system that we’ve developed, we’re hoping you’ll find it simple yet effective for connecting with potential mentor’s and vice versa.

Main Hub NetWork It

Our first screen shot is from the main hub. This will be your main stop for checking existing connections and discovering news connections. Pending connections will be shown at the top of the screen, these are users that want to connect with you or a pending connection you have requested. It also contains a list of your current connections, these are users you have already established a connection with and have been engaging in conversation. Finally the large round button in the corner will allow you to add new connections.

The chat screen is a pretty standard chat screen for anyone who is accustomed to using chat apps. Your messages will be one color, the party you are speaking with another and orange for meetings which the two of you have scheduled. You can easily add these meetings to your calendar software for an easy reminder.

Our meeting scheduler is a feature built into chat that will allow you to easily schedule a meeting with your mentor (or mentee). You can set up a time, add a title for easy reference and a description of what you’d like to accomplish and where the meeting is being held. In the near future we are also hoping to add a feature that will allow users to search for a local meeting place.

That’s it for now. Again if you haven’t signed up for our newsletter, thereby claiming and early beta account for NetWorkIt, sign up today. Those who are already signed up, keep an eye on your mailbox for your early account links!
